Lubrizol, Ohio-based coatings and additives firm, has developed a variety of heated seal coating, BlisterBrand Pro, designed specifically for carded blister pack applications, which the firm claims is an alternative to conventional solvent packaging.

According to the firm, the packaging formulation BlisterBond Pro can be used with most post consumer packaging like PET, and can be applied across varying bonding temperatures and humidity conditions.

The BlisterBond Pro increases compatibility with various forms of packaging, with reduced affect n production due to humidity and temperature, along with enhanced adhesion strength and blocking resistance.

Lubrizol global business manager Matt Timmons claimed the firm's polymer technology made it possible to fulfill the demands of carded blister convertors through specific packaging coating technology.
